THE DELVE DECK JOY EDITION ORIGIN STORY
As a less-than-sunny person myself, I've always found it very hard to stick to a gratitude practice or even engage in positive thinking. I'm a born pessimist.
One thing I noticed in my attempts to engage in more optimistic reflection is that the tools to do this are very limited. Gratitude journals ask "what are you grateful for," but it's hard to answer the same question over and over with fresh responses without more specific prompts to inspire positive thinking.
If you ask me about my favorite sound, my cat's purr comes to mind. If you ask me about my favorite smell, I can imagine the scent of freshly baked cinnamon rolls. If you ask me about a song that takes me back to a happy memory, I can picture what I was listening to a lot when my husband and I fell in love. Those things make me happy and having a tool to help me reflect on these specific things has worked better for me than anything else.
I designed this product both for people like me who struggle with positive thinking, as well as those who are already great at it but want to do more of it.
