The saddest way to start Pi Day is learning about the death of Stephen Hawking. Today we're honoring the famed theoretical physicist, cosmologist, and author with some of our favorite famous Stephen Hawking quotes.
We also think Mr. Hawking would likely approve of our current fundraising efforts. As we shared last week, we're currently raising money for 314 Action. 314 Action was founded by members of the STEM community, grassroots supporters, and political activists who believe in science. 314 Action is committed to electing more candidates from STEM backgrounds to office, advocating for evidence-based policy solutions to issues like climate change, poverty, education, and fighting the Trump administration's attacks on science.
