🙄 Here's some unsolicited advice:

MIND YOUR OWN KARMA

Happy National Junk Food DayAt the risk of inciting incensed replies from the nutritionists and dieticians out there (correctly) pointing out that the US already has a junk food problem...shut up, nerds! Matty needs his salty-sweet preservative fix!

Especially since I worked up an appetite grinding on this sweet new Mind Your Own Karma design up top, just for you! (And also me. I would be lying if I said I didn't live in Boredwalk tees.) I like to think our benevolent queen of the universe would say it's...nice.

Yes, I know I am interpolating 'Bejeweled' and 'Karma' with this cultural reference.
Once more, with feeling: shut up, nerds!

Want some more amusement? Check out the newest episode of the Boredwalk podcast! Grace and Josh discuss how much easier it is to get drunk in cheaper cities, skydiving, and why riding a dolphin is weird. They also ask each other questions from the Delve Deck and talk about what they wish they did more often and what they have too much of.

Listen on your favorite podcasting platform or, even better, watch them on YouTube!

Let's kick off the weekend with a few famous July 21st historical facts and notable birthdays to impress your friends with:

• In 356 BCE the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus — one of the Seven Wonders of the World — was destroyed by arson. Probably caused by some sensitive whiny ancient incel with zero game who just couldn't stand seeing a woman being worshipped AS SHE SHOULD.
• In 1969, astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first person to walk on the moon. His co-pilot Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin followed 19 minutes later. I like to think they rochambeaued for the honor, and Neil just came out on top.

Have some junk food-y cake in recognition of the births of: American singer-songwriter Sara Carter of Carter Family fame (1898), novelist and Bloody Mary fan Ernest Hemingway (1899), renowned character actor & screenwriter Don Knotts (1924), former US Attorney General Janet Reno (1938), singer-songwriter Yusuf "Cat Stevens" Islam (1948), legendary actor & comedian Robin Williams (1951), long-time Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers bassist Howie Epstein (1955), actor & comedian Jon Lovitz (1957), and dreamy late 90s heartthrob Josh Hartnett (1978)
Pour one out for: Old timey actor Basil Rathbone (d. 1967), astronaut Alan Shepard (d. 1998), and novelist & playwright E.L. Doctorow (d. 2015)
OK, that's it for this week! We'll be back here in your inbox on Monday with another email and MAYBE a fresh customer Q&A! If you'd like to be featured in an upcoming email reply to this and let us know!

Peace, love, and karmic junk food (whatever that is!),

Matt
