🤓 What's another word for...
IT'S NATIONAL THESAURUS DAY!
Today marks the birthday of Peter Mark Roget, the author of Roget’s Thesaurus. Roget retired from his medical career in 1840 and spent the rest of his life working on creating his thesaurus, which he published in 1852. What a slacker; I wonder if Roget struggled with Impostor Syndrome, too.

Speaking of finishing projects, we've been very busy cranking out new things here at Boredwalk! Our third book is now en route to our offices, and we just got a delivery of new spiral notebooks featuring some of our popular quotes. We also have THREE new shirt designs ready to launch over the course of the coming weeks AND a card deck party game due in about a month. So many new things!
Is my inner critic impressed? Of course not, but maybe you will be.
In the meantime, here are a few famous birthdays and historical facts from January 18ths of yore:
• Born on this day: actor Kevin Costner (1955), actor Cary Grant (1904), actor Jason Segel (1980), and Winnie The Pooh author A. A. Milne (1882)
• On this day in 1980 Pink Floyd's album "The Wall" hit #1 on the charts
• The yahoo.com domain was created on this day in 1995
• U.S. commercial bakers stopped selling sliced bread on this day in 1943; only whole loaves were sold during the ban until the end of World War II
Alright, you've waited long enough — on to the links!
